Chief of Operations

Our future COO will lead operational planning, policy implementation, compliance, and systems coordination across all behavioral health programs and services. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of public health operations, fiscal oversight, and intergovernmental collaboration, with a passion for community mental health.

Qualifications include:

· Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, HealthCare Administration, Public Health, Marketing, Clinical or related discipline; MBA/MHA preferred.  Five years or more of administrative and human service experience. Managerial training and experience including budget management skills required.

· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate ideas, problems, instructions (written and oral) with center leadership, facility management staff and employees.

· Ability to analyze situations, evaluate data, recommend, and implement courses of action that would improve the functioning of center.

· Ability to use sound judgment in decision making and react calmly and effectively in a crisis situation.

· Experience working within a county or state governmental agency.

· Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

· As a member of the Executive Leadership Tean, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will actively participate in strategic, operational, and financial decision-making.

· Directs the day-to-day operations of all mental health and IDD programs through being the administrative supervisor of the MH Division Directors, the IDD Division Directors.

· Active role in establishing systems and organizational structure to support the overall vision and strategic direction of the organization as well as assessing and identifying operational strategies, performance metrics, and financial opportunities.

· Monitor and improve service access, program outcomes and operational efficiency.

· Lead large scale projects, including system transformations, policy reforms and infrastructure upgrades.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and audits.

· Mentors and develops leaders.
