Must have bachelor's degree in human service field.
Provides services to children and adolescents with MH diagnoses. Training will address problems such as risk of harm, crisis intervention and resolution, substance abuse, family/relationship difficulties, limited community involvement, limited understanding of illness, medication non-compliance and limited coping skills. Works with consumers, family and collaborative providers (schools, CPS, probation) to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement and hospitalization. Helps consumer and family to modify attitudes and patterns of behavior by increasing coping, community living and parenting skills. Refers consumers to community resources and other organizations. Completes Uniform Assessments and Wraparound Plans (where appropriate), develops and reviews recovery plans, performs follow-up to determine quantity and quality of service provided for consumer, and monitors status of consumer's case.
