Position Summary:
We are looking for a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our outpatient treatment team. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering counseling services to individuals and groups, helping clients navigate recovery while living in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive chemical dependency assessments in an outpatient setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery and relapse prevention.
  • Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment as needed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, and community resources to support client care.
  • Facilitate client education on substance use and recovery strategies.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education.

Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
  • Experience working in outpatient substance use treatment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of outpatient counseling techniques and relapse prevention.
  • Ability to engage and motivate clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to outpatient chemical dependency treatment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Certification or training in evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing).
  • Bilingual proficiency a plus.
