Peer Specialist Coordinator

Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent (GED.At least one year of experience working on recovery and able to manage their own wellness.)

Will coordinate peer services for the Andrews Center as well as serve 40% in the capacity of a Certified Peer Provider/Specialist.  The Certified Peer Provider/Specialist uses their lived experience in mental health recovery to assist other adults in their mental health recovery.  They offer encouragement, hope, assistance, guidance and understanding that aids in the recovery process of the individual.  Work involves observing interactions with persons served and facilitating individual and group sessions.  Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
