Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in the human service field with two years' experience in mental health services.
Will work at the Crisis Respite Unit as a member of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Division. Will be responsible for skills training, some face to face crisis assessments and referral services for individuals experiencing mental health crisis presenting at the Crisis Respite Unit. Duties shall include initial contact and assessment activities, crisis intervention and symptom management techniques, possible commitment evaluations, and referral and admission services. Will work closely with staff, psychiatrist, nurses, counseling, and MCOT staff. Will make appropriate referrals to Andrews Center services as well as to other community agencies. Will assist with maintaining good public relations with agencies accepting and referring individuals for mental health services.
