We are seeking a dedicated Liaison to serve as a key connection between Van Zandt County probation offices and individuals with mental illness. This role supports 20-25 probationers by coordinating mental health and community services, providing crisis intervention, and educating both clients and criminal justice partners.
Act as a liaison between Van Zandt County probation offices and assigned probationers with mental illness
Identify, assess, and link clients to Andrews Center and other appropriate community services
Provide crisis intervention and ongoing monitoring at clients' homes and other community locations as needed
Educate criminal justice agencies and clients on Mental Health (MH) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) treatment and available services
Maintain accurate documentation and reports in accordance with program and agency requirements
Travel extensively throughout the service area to meet client and program needs
Bachelor's degree in a human services field required
Experience in mental health services preferred
Experience working with the criminal justice system preferred
Strong communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills
Ability to work independently in community-based settings
Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
