Director of Waiver Service Coordination
Key requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in a social, behavioral, or human services field.
- Preferred experience:
- Service Coordination
- Home and Community-Based Services (HCS)
- Texas Home Living (TxHmL)
- Supervisory experience
- Core responsibilities:
- Supervise HCS and TxHmL Service Coordinators.
- Ensure services comply with HHSC policies and procedures.
- Support HCS and TxHmL teams using the CARE operating system.
- Work with consumers, families, staff, community agencies, and service providers.
- Skills required:
- Knowledge of resources for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication and professional-interaction skills.
- Multitasking and independent decision-making.
- Computer proficiency.
- Driving: A current Texas driver's license and compliance with the Center's automobile-insurance/insurability requirements are required because the position may involve driving.
